Pumpkin Festival Hartsburg may be best known for its annual Pumpkin Festival which transforms this quaint town of 108 residents to visiting populations upwards of 30,000. The festival was first introduced in the mid 1980’s to celebrate the local farmer’s yearly crops and continues to grow in popularity with each passing year. For 2 days in October the streets of this town are lined with vendors as far as the eye can see.
